UPDATE: Emergency services rushed to Perth Airport after a plane carrying fly-in, fly-out workers was forced to turn back due to an engine shutdown
The Cobham Aviation BAE146 flight to Barrow Island took off just before 6am.
Not long in to the flight the pilot made an announcement the plane was having engine troubles and would be heading back to Perth.
A Cobham Aviation spokesperson said the emergency landing was due to an “inflight engine shutdown”.
Firefighters and ambulances where on the tarmac when the plane landed safely at 6.45am and all passengers quickly disembarked.
