ASABA—Former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, Chief Adolo Okotie-Eboh, has said that the leadership crisis bedevilling the state chapter of the party was rooted in selfish interests of the actors.
Okotie-Eboh, in a statement, said those promoting the crisis were not “taking the interest of the party into consideration,” stressing the need for the interest of the party to be uppermost in the heart of members.
On the way forward, he said: “The way forward is that no aspirant should be allowed to pocket the party for personal interest. Every aspirant should queue behind the leadership of the party. We should learn to respect our leaders and also be guided by the rules and regulations of the party.
“So the way forward is that the congress which produced officers on June 21 is the rightful one and officers so produced should be recognised as such.
“My advice to party faithful is that they should always think of the party first before themselves then their benefits will follow.”
