The National Labour Congress (NLC) has been threatening to go on strike due to the loggerheads with the government on meeting their demands.
Many other unions affiliated with the NLC, in a recent turn of events have decided to join in the action. ASUU quickly embarked on theirs before the forewarned date given by NLC.
ASUU strikes, however, has become something of an annual festival as Nigerian students expect it at least once before their graduation like a compulsory subject of study.
Some have aired their hilarious thoughts via tweeps:
ASUU is smart, unlike NLC they didn’t announce their plans, they acted before saying anything, they’ll collect their share and move on, NLC would lack behind #asuustrike

students are always at the receiving end.. i don’t think any Nigerian graduate successfully left sch the appropriate time without being delayed by ASUU Strike.. This is really heartbreaking and frustrating
